We LOVE Taza Chocolate, especially in ice cream!!

We are proud to say that all of our chocolate and cacao inclusions at Steve’s are from Taza Chocolate! Here’s the quick low-down on our favorite chocolate: Taza is a small bean-to-bar chocolate maker in Somerville, Massachusetts (the same town where the original Steve’s Ice Cream opened in 1973 - what an awesome coincidence!) and they are the only producer in the US of 100% stone ground, organic chocolate. Taza does everything themselves and by hand - they roast, winnow, grind, temper, and mold their chocolate in house.

Have you tried our two Taza-full pint flavors? Right now we’re making a Mexican Chile Chocolate Ice Cream using their Guajillo Chile Stone Ground Chocolate and a Coconut Crème based Mint Cacao Chip using their Chocolate Covered Cacao Nibs. Needless to say, both flavors are to die for! Thanks Taza for the great work, we can’t wait to make another Taza Chocolate inspired flavor
